The mission of Glades County Historical Society is to preserve the history of one of Florida's oldest counties. This high goal includes conserving stories from our elders about their childhoods and difficulties to live and raising children in this rural sub-tropical county, as well as saving houses and neighborhoods eligible for historic status.
